Our Story

Destin’s origin begins in 1978 with Don Juan and continues today under his son’s direction . After moving to the United States and years of pumping gas at a gas station, Don Juan decided to make a change for the betterment of his family. He saved and scrambled to create what we know now as Destin Auto Parts. Our story begins in the capital of the world, New York City, In which the first location was created and continues to expand into the New jersey territory thus sitting at four locations to date.

Juan Luis has demonstrated to possess a vision beyond his years and at the mere age of 14, his capacity was proven when his father left the store under his care. Luis purchased one of the largest rotor orders on a pallet which has never been done before. Seeing the advantage of a larger purchase order, Juan Luis watched as his father placed his hand on his own head wondering what he was going to do with all of that merchandise…

Just barely turning sixteen, Luis’ next stage was creating and implementing a revolutionized system of delivery. His only thought was how to provide the best customer service to our clients. Before it was legal for him to vote, our owner found ways to keep the business afloat and continue to grow amidst fierce competitors and changing times. By simply being the humble employer and businessman we know today that cherishes family values and above all else, customer service from one brake pad to a lift machine, Destin Auto Parts has become a staple in our community.
